*Nsync

'N Sync (often stylized *NSYNC) were a Grammy-nominated musical group. The group's launch to fame was financed by the boy band mogul Lou Pearlman. Since 1995, 'N Sync has sold over 56 million records worldwide.
Formed in Orlando, Florida in 1995, the group consisted of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. The name is derived from the last letter of the members names: Justi-N, Chri-S, Joe-Y, Lanste-N (though originally the 'N' came from an original member named Jason before he was replaced by Lance), J-C. After heavily publicized legal battles with their former manager Lou Pearlman and former record label Sony BMG, the group's 2000 album No Strings Attached sold 1.1 million copies in one day and 2.4 millon copies in one week, giving it the highest first week album sales ever in US and #5 worldwide, and their 2001 album, Celebrity, holds the record for the second-highest first full week of sales. In addition to a host of Grammy nominations, 'N Sync has performed at the Academy Awards, the World Series, the Super Bowl and the Olympics, and sang or recorded duets with the likes of Aerosmith, Mary J Blige, Britney Spears, Nelly, Michael Jackson, The Jackson Five, Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, and Gloria Estefan. The group also appeared as themselves on The Simpsons, in an episode entitled "New Kids on the Blecch", which aired on February 25, 2001.
While 'N Sync announced a "temporary hiatus" in spring 2002, the band has not recorded new material since. The group's official website shut down in summer of 2006, and in 2007, Lance Bass confirmed that the group has "definitely broken up."

NSYNC is the 1998 self-titled debut album by the boy band 'N Sync, released in the United States on March 24, 1998. At first, album sales were mediocre until *NSYNC's 1998 Summer Disney Concert. After the concert was aired, sales began to sky rocket. It reached #2 on the chart and has shipped over 10 million copies in the US alone, making it certified 10x Platinum and earning the group a RIAA diamond award. It won a Teen Choice award in 1999 for Album of The Year.

The Winter Album

The Winter Album is an album released, only in Europe, on November 17, 1998 by 'N Sync. This album was the European version of the boy band's Home For Christmas record that was released in the United States. No Strings Attached

No Strings Attached is the second album by American boy band 'N Sync, released on March 21, 2000. By selling more than 2.4 million copies in its debut week, the album set a U.S. one-week sales record. It also has the #5 one-week sales worldwide ever.
Before the release of No Strings Attached, 'N Sync's second album, the band acrimoniously split from their old management and signed to Jive Records. The ensuing legal battle caused No Strings Attached to be delayed several times; initially, the album was slated to arrive as early as the fourth quarter of 1999.

No Strings Attached topped the Billboard 200 charts for eight consecutive weeks selling over 1 million in one day and selling 2.4 million copies in one week and went on to become the biggest-selling album of 2000. The RIAA certified No Strings Attached Gold, Platinum and seven times platinum on April 19, 2000 and eleven times platinum on May 10, 2001, denoting shipments of 11 million in the United States alone—making it their best-selling album. The album shipped 10 million copies domestically in 2000 alone, of which 9,936,104 were sold, according to Nielsen Soundscan, which is the most albums sold in a single year. Worldwide, No Strings Attached is the best selling 'N Sync album, garnering 15 million copies sold.

Celebrity

Celebrity is the last studio album by the pop boy band 'N Sync. It was originally released in 2001 by Jive Records. The album achieved five times platinum status in the U.S. and became the group's third album to sell over 10 million copies worldwide. This album also holds the record for second best first week sales in SoundScan history, only behind their own previous album, No Strings Attached. The album sold almost 1.9 million units in its first week.
The RIAA certified Celebrity Gold, Platinum and 6x Platinum on August 22, 2001, denoting 6 million shipments in the United States.
Jive Records has been criticized for releasing mostly Justin Timberlake-oriented singles, and none of which JC Chasez co-wrote or took a lead in. In his autobiography Out of Sync, Lance Bass believes that this decision ultimately caused Justin Timberlake to pursue a solo career, eventually breaking up the band.

Greatest Hits is the "best of" compilation album by boy band 'N Sync. It was released on October 25, 2005. It includes one "new" song, entitled "I'll Never Stop", which wasn't released in the U.S. The picture on the cover is from a 2000 photoshoot
